Apart from the obvious, we found the following:
- Entire drain cluster under side unit was unsupported and about 2 inches too low.
- All the newer drain lines were not primed and glued.
- Tub drain was not even connected.
- All these rough-ins needed cut lose and reworked so that cluster could be raised. This raised the main sanitary sewer line to where it needed to be.
- Drain line from the front unit was installed about 2 inches below where it entered the sanitary line. This essentially made the entire line a trap. This entire line, about 8 feet, would continuously hold water and would require a copious amount of water to effect drainage. This run was reworked and ran properly and a new trap was installed.
- The run from the front apartment kitchen sink was 1 inch too low. This run was raised and supported.
- All lines, existing or newly installed were checked to be sure they were glued and supported. All lines were supported with galvanized hanger strap and secured with screws.
